Gas detection alarm module – reliable installation safety

The MD-4 alarm module is a key element of gas detection systems, designed to work with dual-threshold detectors of the DEX/F, DG/F and DG types. The device provides control and power for up to four sensors, making it an ideal solution for both extensive industrial installations and domestic safety systems. MD-4 can be used in a Dual-Threshold Gas Detection System and in an Active Gas Installation Safety System of the GX type.

Functionality and application

The MD-4 module not only monitors the status of detectors, but also enables control of additional devices – optical and acoustic signaling devices, fans or contactors. The relay outputs allow integration with other security systems, and the alarm inputs provide the possibility of connecting to fire alarm systems or manual valve shut-off devices. The version with a valve control output (MD-4.Z) meets the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland and is an integral part of the “signaling and shut-off system”.

Thanks to the ability to cooperate with the “DETnet View” configuration software (in versions with an RS-485 port), the diagnostics and configuration of the module become simple and intuitive. This translates into faster system startup and easier maintenance.
