Flush valve fill valve – reliability and quiet operation

This Geberit type 383 fill valve is designed to work with both concealed and exposed cisterns, offering a universal solution for various sanitary installations. It is suitable for systems using potable water and in installations with grey water (rainwater), provided an appropriate filter is used. Its construction ensures reliable operation over a wide range of pressures – from 10 to 1000 kPa.

The valve is distinguished by its exceptionally quiet operation, generating only 7 dB(A) at a flow rate of 3 bar and 13 dB(A) at 5 bar, making it an ideal choice for bathrooms where acoustic comfort is a priority. The low noise level complies with Group I of fittings (DIN4109). Additionally, the compact design simplifies installation, and the adjustable fill height allows the valve to be adapted to individual needs.

Construction and user features

The valve is equipped with a brass threaded nipple and a standard 3/8 inch water connection, ensuring easy integration with existing installations. Its design has been carefully considered for durability and ease of maintenance. Backwards compatibility means the valve can be installed in cisterns manufactured even 50 years ago.

The use of recycled plastics underlines the care for the natural environment. The valve is also efficient – the flow rate at 0.5 bar is 0.06 l/s, and at 3 bar – 0.16 l/s, with a calculated flow rate of 0.09 l/s. The minimum flow pressure is 10 kPa. The water temperature should not exceed 25°C, and the storage temperature is a maximum of 40°C.
