Electrofusion reducing set with electrofusion coupling d75x40 PE100, SDR11, PN10 gas/PN16 water 193280992

Electrofusion welding in gas and water systems

This solution is a key element for joining polyethylene pipes of different diameters, eliminating the need for complex mechanical methods. The product is designed for joining high-density polyethylene (PE-100) pipes in gas installations (up to 10 bar) and water installations (up to 16 bar at 20°C). Thanks to the use of electrofusion welding technology, the joint achieves full tightness and strength equal to the pipe material, which is particularly important in underground systems or hard-to-reach locations.

Construction and practical application

The set consists of two main parts: an electrofusion reducer and an electrofusion coupling, allowing precise matching of the inlet pipe diameter (75 mm) to the outlet diameter (40 mm). Both parts are made of PE-100 material with a dimension ratio SDR 11, ensuring resistance to working pressure PN16 for water and PN10 for gas. Such construction is standard in modern installations requiring high durability and corrosion resistance.

It is worth noting the specifics of installation:

  • Direct connection: The system does not require additional seals or flanged collars – tightness is achieved by melting the material in the heating zone.
  • Diameter versatility: Connects a DN 65 pipe (outer diameter 75 mm) with a DN 32 pipe (outer diameter 40 mm), enabling smooth transitions between sections with different flow rates.
  • Simple geometry: The straight model (without eccentricity) facilitates pipe centering during the welding process, reducing the risk of installation errors.

For the installer, this means faster completion times compared to traditional butt fusion, especially with smaller diameters or in difficult terrain. For the end user, it guarantees installation safety, with no leaks under pressure or temperature changes.

Key features and operating conditions

The product meets rigorous standards for PE-100 materials, translating into long system life. The maximum working pressure is 16 bar for water medium and 10 bar for natural gas at a temperature of 20°C. It should be noted that these values depend on the medium temperature – at higher temperatures, the allowable pressure decreases according to the material strength curve.

The construction material is PE-100 polyethylene with wall thickness compliant with the SDR 11 standard, defining its mechanical strength. The set handles transitions between pipes with outer diameters of 75 mm and 40 mm, implemented via electrofusion without additional sealing elements. After the cooling process, the entire assembly forms a homogeneous mass, minimizing potential failure points compared to mechanical joints. This is a proven solution in distribution networks and building connections, where joining precision is crucial for operational safety.
