Electronic circulation pump – efficiency and savings

The MAGNA3 50-80 F circulation pump is an advanced solution for forcing liquid circulation in heating and air conditioning systems. Equipped with electronic speed control, it ensures optimal adaptation to current heat demand, which translates into significant energy savings. The design based on permanent magnets and a compact stator guarantees reliability and quiet operation.

Functionality and communication

The MAGNA3 pump offers a wide range of communication possibilities, including support for EtherNet/IP, Modbus RTU, PROFIBUS, LON/LONWorks and BACnet MS/TP protocols. Additionally, it has 0-10 V / 2-10 V and 0-20 mA / 4-20 mA interface signals, which enables integration with various building management systems. The built-in motor controller allows for smooth and precise flow regulation. The communication system is prepared to work with external communication modules (e.g. Grundfos CIM), expanding the functionality of the pump.

Construction and application

The pump body is made of cast iron GG 25 (GJL-250), which ensures high strength and corrosion resistance. The maximum working pressure is 10 bar, and the nominal diameter of the inlet and outlet connections is "Other" (which usually means EN 1092-2 flanges). The pump is designed to operate at an ambient temperature of 0 to 40°C and a medium temperature of -10 to 110°C. The installation length is 240 mm, and the motor power is 0.328 kW with a rated current of 1.53 A. The head at nominal flow (BEP) is 48.16 kPa, and the nominal flow (BEP) is 15.54 m³/h. The IPX4 degree of protection provides protection against splashing water. The pump is designed for continuous operation with liquids not containing solid particles larger than allowed by the manufacturer.
