Compact booster pump with intelligent control

The Grundfos SCALA1 5-55 is a fully integrated, self-priming unit designed to increase water pressure in domestic and small commercial installations. It is ideal for garden irrigation systems, increasing water mains pressure, and pumping water from tanks. Thanks to its compact design and built-in pressure tank components, the SCALA1 offers convenient installation and reliable operation.

Performance and functionality

The SCALA1 is characterized by a capacity of up to 7.8 m³/h and a maximum head of 55 meters. The 1.2 kW motor provides efficient operation, and the ability to draw water from a depth of up to 8 meters in less than 5 minutes makes it easy to start the system. The pump is equipped with dry-running protection, protecting the motor from damage in the event of water shortage. Additionally, the function of protecting against cyclic on/off prevents excessive wear of the device in the event of minor leaks in the installation.

Intelligent control and monitoring

A key feature of the SCALA1 pump is the ability to communicate via Bluetooth with the Grundfos GO REMOTE application. The application allows remote control of the pump, real-time monitoring of its operation, access to advanced configuration functions, and receiving notifications of potential failures or irregularities. The ability to create pump operating reports facilitates diagnostics and maintenance planning. Thanks to the application, you can also configure the SCALA1 to operate in a cascade (parallel) system. The pump also has a digital input allowing connection of external start/stop control.

Construction and application

The SCALA1 pump is made of high-quality materials, guaranteeing durability and reliable operation. The pump housing is made of composite material, and the impeller is made of polypropylene (PP). The device has inlet and outlet connections with a diameter of 1 inch (25 mm) with a tapered external gas thread BSPT-R (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1). The maximum working pressure is 8 bar. The pump is designed to operate at an ambient temperature from 0 to 55°C and with a liquid temperature from 0 to 45°C. Thanks to its wide range of applications, the SCALA1 is a versatile solution for various needs related to water supply.
