Replacement element for Hager UNIVERS distributors from the IP44/54 series

The FZ425 gland plate is a component designed for Hager wall-mounted distributors from the UNIVERS family - in the 160 mm and 205 mm depth versions, maintaining the IP44/54 classification. The product functions as a replacement element for existing installations, allowing for the replacement of a worn or damaged plate without the need to replace the entire enclosure.

Construction and fitment capabilities

The plate has dimensions of 220 × 15 × 104 mm and is made of white plastic (RAL 9010), without additional surface treatment. It features 13 connection holes - each is factory-knocked out, meaning the installer cuts the holes for cables of appropriate diameters themselves. This feature makes the plate universal and provides flexibility in the placement of cable entries on the distributor surface.

The arrangement of knockouts allows for the introduction of cables with varying diameters:

• 4× from 8.5 to 12 mm
• 2× from 13 to 26 mm
• 2× from 8.5 to 26 mm
• 2× from 11 to 40.5 mm
• 1× from 14 to 47 mm

This gradation enables the routing of both thin control wires and thicker power cables - all in one plate.

Sealing and tamper-proofing

The plate is sealable, meaning it can be secured against unauthorized access after installation is complete. When correctly mounted, it maintains the IP44/54 protection rating, protecting the interior of the distributor from dust and moisture. However, it is worth noting that when using cover frames, the sealing may drop to IP30 - information that is important when designing installations in conditions requiring a higher protection class.

Compliance and environmental standards

The product is halogen-free, which is significant for fire safety requirements in public buildings - the absence of halogen additives limits the emission of toxic gases during combustion. The plate also meets the requirements of the RoHS directive and REACH without SVHC declarations, confirmed by official manufacturer documents available on the Hager website.
