The SBN416 isolating switch is a key element of any electrical installation, providing safe and reliable disconnection of circuits. Functionality and application

The device is used to completely disconnect the electrical circuit, which is essential during maintenance, repair or modernization of the installation. Thanks to four poles (4P), it provides complete isolation of all phase and neutral conductors. The rated switching capacity of 0.338 kA guarantees effective protection against the effects of short circuits. This switch finds application in lighting circuits, socket circuits and in controlling various electrical devices.

Construction and mounting

The SBN416 switch occupies 2 module widths, allowing for efficient use of space in the distribution board. It has screw terminals allowing the connection of wires with a cross-section from 1.5 mm² to 16 mm² (rigid) and from 1.5 mm² to 10 mm² (flexible). The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact, but does not protect against the action of water. Mechanical endurance at 200000 cycles guarantees long and trouble-free operation of the device. Offset terminals facilitate cable routing in tight spaces.

Worth knowing: The characteristics of the switch make it ideal for applications requiring frequent switching on and off of the circuit, e.g. when servicing equipment or performing maintenance work. The rated short-time current Icw at 0.24 kA provides resistance to short-term overloads.
