Modular isolating switch – reliable power disconnection

This three-pole Hager SBN363 isolating switch is a key element of any electrical installation, providing safe and reliable disconnection of circuits. Designed to operate at 400VAC and 63A, it is perfect for both residential and industrial installations. Its compact design (2.5 modules wide) allows for easy mounting in distribution boards.

Functionality and safety in one

The SBN363 switch is used to manually disconnect circuits under load, which is particularly important during maintenance, repairs or modernization of installations. Unlike overcurrent circuit breakers, it does not have a function to protect against overload – its task is only to isolate the circuit on the supply side. This ensures complete certainty that the circuit is disconnected from the voltage during work. Short-circuit strength at 5kA guarantees resistance to the effects of short circuits.

Installation and application

The switch is mounted on a DIN rail, which greatly simplifies and speeds up installation. It is ideal for use as a main switch in distribution boards, as well as an individual switch in electrical installations. The ability to seal in the ON or OFF position increases safety and prevents accidental switching on or off of the circuit. Made of high-quality plastic, it is resistant to mechanical damage and ensures long-term reliability. The IP20 degree of protection protects against touching with fingers and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.

This switch is characterized by a rated current of 63A, which allows it to handle circuits with high power consumption. It is designed to operate at a standard voltage of 400V and has three poles allowing disconnection of all phases simultaneously. Its width of 2.5 modules saves space in the distribution board, and high short-circuit strength (5kA) ensures resistance to the effects of short circuits. The device can operate at temperatures from -20°C to +70°C and offers the possibility of sealing for increased safety. It has screw terminals providing a solid connection of wires with a cross-section from 2.5mm² to 16mm².
