Modular isolating switch – reliable disconnection in the installation

This three-pole isolating switch with a rated current of 160A is a key element ensuring safe and controlled disconnection of electrical circuits. The design with a visible break provides certainty of visual verification of the disconnection status, which is particularly important during maintenance and repairs. Designed for mounting on a mounting plate or TH rail, it offers flexibility in choosing the installation location.

Functionality and application

The device functions as a safety switch, main switch and repair switch, making it a versatile solution for various applications. The rated operating power for AC-23 at 400V is 56kW, and the switching capacity at 400V is as much as 105kW. This makes it suitable for protecting circuits powering devices with significant power, such as motors or furnaces. The locking mechanism in the OFF position further increases safety, preventing accidental reconnection of the circuit during maintenance work. The ability to lock the drive with a padlock in the off position is an additional security element against unauthorized switching on.

Construction and mounting

The switch has screw connections, which ensures a secure and durable connection of the wires. The compact design (width 109mm) allows for efficient use of space in distribution boards. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against contact with fingers, but does not protect against the effects of water or dust - therefore, appropriate working conditions must be remembered (temperature from -20°C to 70°C). The device is permanently mounted and does not require additional mounting elements other than standard screws for the mounting plate.
