Protection and functionality

The construction of this circuit breaker combines the function of an overcurrent circuit breaker (characteristic C) and a residual current circuit breaker type A. Characteristic C allows for temporary overloads that occur, for example, during the starting of motors or devices with heating elements – this will not cause unnecessary disconnection of the circuit. At the same time, in the event of a leakage current to earth (30mA), the circuit breaker will react quickly, cutting off the power and minimizing the risk of electric shock. The short-circuit breaking capacity at 6kA guarantees effective protection even in the event of serious failures.

Installation and parameters

The circuit breaker is designed for mounting on a TH35 rail (standard mounting rail in distribution boards). Its width of 4 modules allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board. The possibility of flush mounting increases the flexibility of the installation. The cross-section of the cables that can be connected to the circuit breaker is 1-25mm² for solid conductors and 1-16mm² for stranded conductors. An additional lock prevents accidental switching on of the circuit breaker after it has been switched off – important for safety during maintenance work. The circuit breaker meets the requirements of overvoltage category III and pollution degree 2, which means that it is adapted to work in typical environmental conditions.
