Its construction allows for direct installation under the floor finish, minimizing the loss of room height.

Construction and advantages

The key to the reliability and durability of the HD-mat is its advanced construction. A very thin heating cable (about 3 mm in diameter) allows for reducing the thickness of the adhesive or self-leveling screed layer, which is particularly important during renovations and modernizations. The heating cable is protected by a copper mesh screen, which protects against electromagnetic interference and increases safety. In addition, a stranded wire (strand) provides flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. Double Teflon insulation guarantees temperature resistance up to 200°C, minimizing the risk of overheating and extending the system's life.

Thanks to its construction, the mat works perfectly both in new buildings and during the modernization of existing heating installations. Remember to use a thermostat with a floor temperature sensor for effective system control and to protect the circuit with an RCD and type B overcurrent device – this is crucial for safety!

The heating power is 150 W/m², the width of the mat is 50 cm, and the length for an area of 1.5 m² is 3 meters. The power supply is 230 V +/- 10% 50/60 Hz, and the protection class is IPX7. The insulation of the heating conductor and the external one are made of FEP (Teflon), and the length of the power cord is 2.5 meters.
