PVC Installation Cable – Reliability and Versatility
The single-core H07V-K cable is a standard solution for conducting electrical installations in various conditions. It is characterized by flexibility and good abrasion resistance, which facilitates installation and ensures long-term operation. This cable is designed for use in conduits, on and under plaster, and in closed cable ducts – where basic protection against mechanical influences is required.
Construction and Application
The H07V-K cable consists of a multi-wire copper core (class 5) insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). This construction provides good flexibility and facilitates routing cables even in tight spaces. It is intended for wiring devices, distribution boards, lighting, and electrical installations with a working voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC to ground. It will work well in both domestic and industrial installations.
Parameters and Safety
The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31 / DIN EN 50525-2-31 and IEC 60227-3. It has a fire reaction class of Eca, which means limited flammability and smoke emission in the event of a fire. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/750 V, and the core cross-section is 1.5 mm². The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 3.15 mm. The copper core is stranded, which further increases its flexibility. The PVC insulation material provides good protection against moisture and mechanical damage. The operating temperature range is -30°C to +80°C (stationary) and -5°C to +70°C (flexible). The insulation resistance is at least 10 MOhm x km.
