Construction and application

The (N)YYO-J cable features a robust construction. Single-wire copper conductors, insulated with PVC, are twisted concentrically, providing flexibility and ease of installation. The whole is surrounded by a durable black PVC outer jacket. This type of cable is particularly recommended for outdoor installations, including laying in the ground, water, and concrete – provided there is no exposure to strong mechanical damage. It is ideal for gas stations and refineries, where resistance to oils and fuels is crucial.

Properties and safety

The cable meets stringent safety standards, including oil and gasoline resistance tests (DIN ISO 6722) and the self-extinguishing properties of PVC (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1). This ensures protection of the installation against fire and other hazards. The operating voltage of the cable is 0.6/1 kV, and the test voltage is 4 kV. Flexible operation in the temperature range of -5°C to +50°C and stationary operation from -30°C to +70°C guarantee reliability in various environmental conditions. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 13 mm.
