Cable for cable chains – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded cable chain cable, with an outer diameter of approximately 18.1 mm, is designed for operation in demanding industrial environments. Made of high-quality polyurethane (PUR) with special PP wire insulation, it provides durability and flexibility even with intensive bending. Intended for use in machines, machine tools and robotics, where resistance to abrasion, oils and chemicals is required.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 6 mm², twisted in a way that minimizes the risk of damage during dynamic use. The wires are numbered for easy identification. In addition, the cable has a copper braid screen that provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). This braid should be connected to the terminals on both sides for optimal protection. The construction also includes a halogen-free inner jacket made of TPE and a special protective film. Thanks to this, the cable meets stringent fire safety standards (IEC 60332-1-2 / UL VW-1 / CSA FT1).

Application and benefits

This cable is ideal for use in cable chains, where it is exposed to continuous bending and movement. Its high resistance to UV radiation, ozone, acids, alkalis and hydraulic fluids guarantees long-lasting and reliable operation even in extreme conditions. Thanks to the use of halogen-free materials, the cable minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire. This is particularly important in industrial applications where safety is a priority. In addition, high flexibility and abrasion resistance translate into a longer cable life and reduced costs associated with its replacement. This cable complies with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE).
