Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 109 is a solution designed for demanding applications, especially in marine and industrial environments. Designed to operate in chain guide systems, it provides a reliable connection even with intense bending and movement. Its construction and materials guarantee resistance to external factors such as oils, UV radiation and extreme temperatures.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction: four copper conductors with a cross-section of 10 mm², insulated with a special material, twisted to ensure flexibility. These cores are numbered for easy identification. In addition, a screen made of tinned copper wires (with the option of aluminum and foil) minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in sensitive applications. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane (PUR) coating in orange (RAL 2003), which provides resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The cable is metered, which makes it easier to precisely adapt to the needs of the installation.
Applications and benefits
This cable is primarily used in:
- Chain guide systems: ideal for moving applications in machines and equipment.
- Marine environments: meets the stringent standards of the marine industry, ensuring reliability in harsh weather conditions.
- Heavy industry: resistance to oils, chemicals and UV radiation makes it an excellent choice for demanding industrial environments.
- Applications requiring EMC shielding: minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
Additional benefits:
- Halogen-free: meets fire safety standards, limiting the emission of toxic gases during combustion.
- Wide operating temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C (flexible and stationary), allowing it to be used in various climates.
- UV resistance: ensures long-term durability even outdoors.
- Flexibility: class 6 cores provide high flexibility, making installation easier and minimizing the risk of damage during movement.
- Compliance with standards: meets the requirements of UL Style 20234 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
