Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 109 4G16/AWG6 orange, halogen-free, shielded 19816

Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This specialized chain cable, designated HELUKABEL® SHIPFLEX® 109, is an advanced solution designed for operation in demanding industrial and marine environments. It is characterized by high resistance to external factors, flexibility and durability, making it an ideal choice for dynamic applications such as powering mobile devices or automation systems. This cable has been tested and certified to stringent standards, ensuring safety and reliable operation.

Construction and properties

The SHIPFLEX® 109 cable stands out with its solid construction. It has multi-strand copper conductors with a cross-section of 16 mm², which provide good conductivity and flexibility. The conductors are insulated with a special material, and their identification is done using numbers. The whole is surrounded by a copper braid screen (approx. 85% coverage), which minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC). In addition, the cable has a polyurethane outer jacket in orange (RAL 2003), which is resistant to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. It is worth emphasizing the halogen-free materials used in production – it meets the standards of DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

This cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C (flexible) and -40°C to +80°C (stationary). The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. The nominal UL voltage is 1000 V and the insulation resistance is min. 100 MOhm x km. Radiation resistance reaches up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).

Applications and benefits

This cable is primarily used in power supply systems for machines and equipment operating in continuous motion – especially where high mechanical and chemical resistance is required. It is ideal for:

  • Marine industry: Due to its high resistance to weather conditions and salt water.
  • Industrial automation: In control and power systems for robots and other mobile devices.
  • Construction and agricultural machinery: In applications exposed to high mechanical loads and contact with oils.
  • Close-range transport systems: In powering conveyor belts and other transport equipment.

By choosing this cable, you are investing in a reliable solution that will ensure long-term and safe operation of your devices even in the most difficult conditions. The use of a screen minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is crucial for the correct operation of sensitive electronic devices. In addition, compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU guarantees safety of use.
