Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 109 4G35/AWG2 orange, halogen-free, shielded 19818

Highly durable cable for energy chains – reliability in harsh conditions.

This specialized, shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX® 109 cable is designed for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. It is ideal for marine applications, but also in industry where it is exposed to oils, UV radiation and extreme temperatures. The cable construction ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using stranded copper conductors according to DIN VDE 0295 class 6, BS 6360 class 6 and IEC 60228 class 6 standards. The cores are insulated with a special material and marked with U1, V2, W3 numbering with an additional yellow-green protective core. The screen made of tinned copper wires (coverage approx. 85%) effectively protects against electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane (PUR) coating, resistant to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. The cable is metered for easy installation and adaptation to specific needs.

  • Mechanical strength: The class 6 stranded construction provides high flexibility and resistance to repeated bending, which is crucial in energy chains.
  • Chemical resistance: The PUR coating guarantees resistance to oils, greases and other aggressive chemicals found in the industrial environment.
  • Interference protection: The effective screen protects the signal from external electromagnetic interference (EMC).
  • Safety: The cable meets the standards for low voltage (CE) and has flame-retardant and halogen-free properties, increasing safety.
  • Wide temperature range: The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (flexible and stationary).

Applications and technical parameters

The SHIPFLEX® 109 cable with a core cross-section of 35 mm² (AWG2) is ideal for powering devices in energy chain systems, especially in harsh environmental conditions. Its orange color (RAL 2003) makes it easy to identify in the installation. Thanks to its UV resistance, it can also be used outdoors. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter, making installation easier even in tight spaces.

The core cross-section is 35 mm², it has 4 cores and its approximate outer diameter is 32.7 mm. The outer coating is made of polyurethane (PUR) and the screen is a copper braid. The cable is designed for a nominal voltage of UL 1000 V and is characterized by a minimum insulation resistance of 100 MOhm x km.
