Chain guide cable – reliability in demanding conditions
This specialized, shielded HELUKABEL® SHIPFLEX® 113 cable is designed to operate in harsh conditions, such as those found in industrial, marine, and chain guide systems. It provides a reliable connection and protection against electromagnetic interference. The cable's construction guarantees high flexibility and mechanical strength, translating into a long service life even with intensive use.
Construction and properties for professionals
The cable is characterized by a construction based on four cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², supplemented by two control cores with a cross-section of 1 mm². Copper cores, made in class 6 (very flexible stranded wire), ensure excellent conductivity and resistance to bending. The power cores have U1, V2, W3 markings, and the protective core is yellow-green. The control cores are twisted in pairs wrapped in aluminum foil for better protection against interference. The whole is surrounded by a screen of tinned copper wires, covered by approx. 85%, which provides effective suppression of electromagnetic interference. A durable outer coating made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to oils, chemicals and UV radiation. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire and minimizes the emission of toxic gases.
Additionally, the cable meets stringent standards regarding flame resistance (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1-2) and behavior at low temperatures (down to -40°C according to IEC 60092-350). Materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting.
Applications and benefits
This cable is ideal for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors:
- Chain guide systems: Provides reliable power to mobile devices in machines and industrial equipment.
- Marine applications: Meets the requirements of strict standards prevailing in the marine environment thanks to resistance to moisture, salts and UV radiation.
- Robotics industry: Ideal for powering robots and other automation devices where high flexibility and bending resistance are required.
- Shipbuilding industry: Resistant to the specific conditions prevailing in the shipbuilding industry – moisture, salt water and exposure to mechanical damage.
- General industrial applications: An excellent choice wherever a cable with high mechanical strength and chemical resistance is needed.
Thanks to the shielding, the cable minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference affecting the operation of connected devices. The halogen-free coating increases safety, and the high quality of workmanship guarantees long-term and trouble-free operation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 11.5 mm, which facilitates its installation and routing in tight spaces.
