This shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX® 113 chain cable is designed for operation in demanding environments, such as marine areas, where it is exposed to oils, extreme temperatures and UV radiation. Its construction ensures reliability and long-term operation in dynamic applications, e.g. in machines and equipment with energy chains. The cable is metered, which makes it easy to precisely adjust the length to the installation needs.

Construction and properties ensuring safety

The cable is characterized by a solid construction: twisted copper conductors, special insulation and a screen made of tinned copper wires. The use of a polyurethane outer jacket guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils and chemicals. In addition, the cable meets standards regarding flame retardancy and halogen-free properties, which increases safety in case of fire. This limits the emission of toxic gases during combustion.

• Stranded conductors class 6 provide high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending in energy chains.
• Braided screen effectively minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is important in applications sensitive to noise.

Specification and application

The SHIPFLEX® 113 cable has a conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm² and consists of four power conductors and two control conductors (4G2.5+(2x1)). The orange color (RAL 2003) makes it easier to identify in cable harnesses. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 13 mm. It is intended for use in construction machinery, port equipment, industrial automation systems and everywhere where high reliability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions are required.
