Cable for chain guides – reliability in motion
This specialized cable, designated SHIPFLEX 113, is an advanced solution for use in demanding conditions, especially in chain guides. It is designed to ensure long-lasting and safe operation in industrial, marine and environments exposed to oils and chemicals. The cable construction guarantees high flexibility and mechanical resistance, which translates to reliability even with intense bending and twisting.
Construction and properties
The SHIPFLEX 113 cable is distinguished by carefully selected materials and an advanced construction. Copper strands, made in class 6 (multi-wire, very flexible), provide excellent conductivity and resistance to material fatigue. The strands are insulated with a special material, and their identification is done using numbers. Four power cores with a cross-section of 35 mm² and two control cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² enable comprehensive power supply and control of devices. A screen made of tinned copper wires effectively protects against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in modern industrial installations. The whole is surrounded by a durable, polyurethane outer coating in orange (RAL 2003), which provides resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire and minimizes the emission of toxic substances.
Applications and compliance with standards
The SHIPFLEX 113 cable finds wide application in machines and equipment operating in difficult conditions, such as:
- Industrial robots
- Industrial automation
- Gantry cranes
- Construction machinery
- Marine installations
It meets stringent safety standards:
- DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 (fire resistance)
- DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1 (halogen-free)
- IEC 60092-350 (oil resistance)
- IEC 60092-350 (behavior at low temperatures)
Additionally, the cable is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.
