Cable for energy chains – reliability in dynamic applications
This specialized cable, catalog number 19836, is an excellent solution for use in energy chains, especially in demanding industrial conditions. Designed for high flexibility and mechanical strength, it provides a reliable connection in dynamic applications. The cable construction is based on shielding technology and utilizes halogen-free materials, increasing safety and minimizing the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction based on four power cores (4G1) and two control cores (2x0.75 mm²). The copper cores, made in class 6 (extra flexible stranded wire), ensure optimal flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending. The core pairs are shielded with aluminum foil and an additional braid of tinned copper wires, which effectively reduces electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR), resistant to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12.5 mm.
Application and compliance with standards
This cable is designed to operate in harsh conditions, including marine environments – it meets the requirements of strict industry standards. Thanks to the use of halogen-free materials, it is safe for health and the environment, and also meets the standards for low smoke emission during a fire. The cable has UL Style 20234 certification and is compliant with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). It can be used at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (flexible) and -40°C to +90°C (stationary). The insulation resistance is at least 100 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 times the cable diameter. The cable is radiation resistant up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).
