Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 340 12x2X0.50/AWG20 grey, halogen-free, shielded 19951

Cable for chain guides – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 340 is a solution designed for demanding applications, especially in marine and industrial environments. The cable is distinguished by its high resistance to external factors, flexibility and durability, ensuring safe and uninterrupted power supply. It is ideal where standard cabling fails.

Construction and parameters

The cable is characterized by a construction that ensures high reliability and long life. Made of stranded copper conductors (class 6), insulated with a special material, it provides the flexibility necessary in dynamic applications such as chain guide systems. The screen made of tinned copper wires minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in precision control systems. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils and extreme temperatures. The cable is available in gray (RAL 7001) and is supplied in meter lengths.

  • Conductor cross-section: 0.5 mm² – provides adequate current carrying capacity for many applications.
  • Number of cores: 24 – allows transmission of signals or power for multiple devices.
  • Rated voltage: 500 V (UL 1000 V) – meets the requirements of both European and American safety standards.
  • Outer diameter: approximately 13.5 mm – facilitates cable routing in tight spaces.
  • Temperature range: flexibly from -40°C to +80°C, stationary from -40°C to +80°C – allows operation in a wide range of ambient temperatures.

Properties and applications

This cable stands out with a number of features that make it an ideal choice for professionals:

  • Radiation resistance: up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad) – enables use in environments exposed to ionizing radiation.
  • Oil resistance: meets the requirements of IEC 60092-350 appendix F – ideal for use in the chemical and shipbuilding industries.
  • Halogen-free: compliant with DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1 – increases fire safety and minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire.
  • Flame retardancy: compliant with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 – provides additional safety in the event of a fire.
  • Weather resistance: resistant to ozone and UV radiation – guarantees long-term operation outdoors.

The SHIPFLEX® 340 cable is primarily used in:

  • Chain guide systems (cable carriers).
  • Port and shipbuilding machines and equipment.
  • Industrial applications exposed to oils and chemicals.
  • Installations requiring high resistance to external factors and mechanical damage.
