Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 340 2x2X1/AWG18 grey, halogen-free, shielded 19962
Highly durable cable for chain guides for use in harsh conditions.
This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX® 340 is designed for operation in demanding industrial environments, especially in applications with chain guides. It is characterized by high flexibility, resistance to external factors and provides a reliable connection in dynamic systems. The cable is ideal for marine applications where it is exposed to moisture, oils and UV radiation.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of high-quality materials, which guarantees its durability and reliability. Copper strands, twisted into strands (class 6), provide good conductivity and flexibility. Special insulation of the cores and a screen of tinned copper wires minimize electromagnetic interference (EMC) and provide protection against damage. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) is resistant to abrasion, oils and UV radiation, which increases the service life of the cable. In addition, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
- The nominal core cross-section is 1 mm², which corresponds to an approximate AWG size of 18.
- Four cores facilitate the configuration and connection of various devices.
- The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 10 mm, which ensures convenience in routing through chain guides.
- The cable meets the safety standards DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1 regarding fire resistance.
- It is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
- The cable maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (flexibly) and stationary.
- Resistant to radiation up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).
Applications and benefits
The SHIPFLEX® 340 cable finds application in various industrial applications, such as:
- Robotics: Powering and controlling industrial robots operating in harsh conditions.
- Automation: Connecting sensors, motors and other automation devices in systems with chain guides.
- Construction machinery: Powering elements of construction machinery exposed to high mechanical loads and atmospheric factors.
- Marine industry: Use on ships and drilling platforms where high resistance to moisture, salts and UV radiation is required.
- Close-range transport systems: Powering conveyor belts, cranes and other transport equipment.
Thanks to its construction and properties, this cable provides:
- Long-term reliability: Resistance to mechanical, chemical and atmospheric factors guarantees a long service life of the cable.
- Safety: Halogen-free coating reduces the risk of toxic gases in the event of a fire.
- Electromagnetic compatibility: Shielding minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable operation of devices.
- Easy installation: Metered cable makes it easy to adjust the length to specific installation needs.
