Chain guide cable – reliability in demanding conditions

This shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 340 chain cable is a solution designed to operate in harsh conditions, especially in marine and industrial applications. Construction and properties

The cable consists of four copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², which provide adequate conductivity. The conductors are insulated with a special material and then twisted in pairs for better noise reduction. The whole is surrounded by a screen of tinned copper wires, which protects against electromagnetic interference. A durable outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and low and high temperatures. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

Additionally, this cable is characterized by high flexibility – the minimum bending radius is 7.5 times the cable diameter – which facilitates assembly and installation in tight spaces. Radiation resistance up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (100 Mrad) makes the cable perfect for use in environments exposed to ionizing radiation.
