Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 340 4x2X0.34/AWG22 grey, halogen-free, shielded 19938

Robust cable for chain guides – reliability in harsh conditions

This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL® SHIPFLEX® 340 is designed for operation in demanding industrial environments, especially where there is continuous movement and exposure to external factors. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to mechanical, chemical damage and weather conditions. It is ideal for use in the marine, port industry, as well as in machines and equipment operating in difficult conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction. Made of stranded copper conductors (class 6), it provides excellent conductivity and flexibility. The conductors are insulated with a special material and twisted in pairs, which minimizes electromagnetic interference. A screen made of tinned copper wires (with the option of an aluminum foil) effectively protects against the influence of external disturbances. The polyurethane outer jacket guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and low temperatures. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

In addition, the cable meets UL Style 20234 standards, which confirms its high quality and compliance with international safety standards. The use of special conductor insulation and cable construction ensure its long-lasting and reliable operation even in extreme conditions. The cable is metered for convenient dispensing during installation.

Applications and benefits

This cable is primarily used in:

  • Machines and equipment with moving parts: ideal for chain guides, industrial robots, conveyors.
  • Marine and port industry: resistance to weather conditions and oils makes it an excellent choice for applications on ships, drilling platforms and in ports.
  • Heavy industry: resistance to mechanical and chemical damage guarantees reliable operation in difficult industrial conditions.
  • Applications requiring high flexibility: thanks to the stranded conductor construction, the cable bends and lays easily even with frequent movements.

It is worth remembering a few key features:

  • Radiation resistance: up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).
  • Wide operating temperature range: flexible from -40°C to +80°C, stationary from -40°C to +80°C.
  • Low resistance: minimum bending radius 7.5xØ cable and resistance to coupling max. 250 Ohm/km ensure optimal signal parameters.
  • Safety: meets standards regarding flame retardancy and halogen-free properties.
  • Conductor cross-section: 0.34 mm², which corresponds to an approximate AWG22.
  • Number of conductors: 8
  • Outer diameter: approximately 8.4 mm
