Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX® 340 chain cable is a solution designed for operation in demanding industrial environments, especially where bending movements and exposure to external factors occur. This cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to mechanical, chemical damage and weather conditions. It is ideal for use in ports, shipyards, as well as in machines operating outdoors.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of high-quality materials, which guarantees its long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Copper strands, twisted into strands, ensure good conductivity and flexibility. Special insulation of the cores and a screen made of tinned copper wires minimize electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in modern industrial installations. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. In addition, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
- Mechanical strength: The cable construction is designed to withstand high mechanical loads and dynamic stresses occurring in chain guides.
- Chemical resistance: The PUR jacket provides resistance to the action of oils, greases and other aggressive chemicals.
- Safety: The halogen-free construction minimizes the emission of toxic gases during a fire.
- EMC shielding: Effectively reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
- Flexibility: The special construction of the cores ensures high flexibility of the cable, making it easier to install and route in tight spaces.
Applications and compliance with standards
The SHIPFLEX® 340 cable finds application in a wide range of industrial applications:
- Port and shipyard machinery
- Industrial automation
- Robotics
- Mobile devices
- Installations in difficult environmental conditions
The cable meets the requirements of standards: DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1 and IEC 60754-1 (halogen-free). It also has a UL Style 20234 certificate confirming its compliance with American safety standards. The CE mark confirms compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35 / EU. Thanks to this, you can be sure that the product is safe and reliable.
