Chain guide cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This shielded HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 340 chain cable is a solution designed for operation in demanding industrial environments, as well as in marine applications. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors, making it an ideal choice for powering devices operating in continuous motion, e.g. in robotics, construction machinery or strip transport systems. Made of high-quality materials, it provides a safe and stable electrical connection.
Construction and properties
The SHIPFLEX 340 cable is characterized by a solid construction. The durable outer layer made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils and aggressive chemicals. The screen made of tinned copper wires minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in environments with a high level of interference. Stranded bare copper conductors ensure good conductivity and flexibility. The whole meets stringent safety standards, including halogen-free and UV resistance.
- Durable PUR coating: resistant to oils, chemicals and abrasion – guarantees long-term operation even in difficult conditions.
- EMC shielding: reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable signal transmission.
- Halogen-free: increased fire safety – no toxic gases released during combustion.
- UV resistance: ideal for outdoor and sun-exposed applications.
- Flexibility: facilitates cable installation and routing in tight spaces and dynamic applications (e.g. cable chains).
- Wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C – reliability in extreme thermal conditions.
Applications and technical parameters
The SHIPFLEX 340 cable is primarily used in power supply systems for mobile devices and in applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. It will be perfect in:
- Construction and agricultural machinery: powering moving parts, such as robot arms or conveyors.
- Strip transport systems: reliable electrical connection in dynamic working conditions.
- Marine applications: resistance to moisture, salt and UV radiation – ideal for the marine environment.
- Industrial robotics: the flexibility and durability of the cable ensure smooth robot operation.
- Industrial automation: reliable power supply for sensors, actuators and other automation devices.
The cable has 10 conductors with a cross-section of 0.34 mm², which corresponds to AWG22. The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the outer diameter is approximately 9.1 mm. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 times the cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. Thanks to meeting DIN VDE and UL Style 20234 standards, it guarantees safety and compliance with applicable regulations.
