Electric vehicle charging cable – reliability and safety

This red HELUPOWER CHARGE-750-AC cable is a dedicated solution for charging electric vehicles, both at public charging stations (parking lots, garages) and at home. The use of high-quality materials and advanced construction guarantees safe and efficient charging. The cable is designed for intensive use and resistance to external factors.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible construction, enabling convenient use even in difficult conditions. Multi-strand copper conductors, class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228) provide good conductivity and mechanical strength. The core insulation is made of halogen-free EVI-2 material (DIN EN 50620), which increases safety in the event of a fire. The outer jacket made of halogen-free EVM-1 (DIN EN 50620) protects the cable from mechanical damage, UV radiation and the influence of oils.

In addition, the cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-620/DIN EN 50620/GB/T 33594-2017 standards for cables for charging electric vehicles. This ensures that the product complies with applicable safety standards. The cable is available in red (RAL 3020) and is supplied in meter lengths, making it easy to adapt to individual needs.

Operating parameters and resistance

The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C (flexible and stationary). The operating voltage is 450/750 V AC (peak), and the test voltage for signal cores is 2000 V AC, for power cores 2500 V AC, and for the entire cable as much as 3500 V AC. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible operation and 4 x diameter for fixed installation. The cable has passed tests confirming resistance to vertical flame propagation (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2), oil resistance (DIN VDE 0207-363-10-2/DIN EN 50363-10-2) and UV resistance (DIN VDE 0285-620/DIN EN 50620).
