Shielded flexible cable – reliable data transmission in industry and electronics

This multi-core F-CY-JZ 32G0.5 cable is a flexible solution for transmitting control and data signals in demanding industrial environments, as well as in computer and electronic systems. The shielded construction provides high resistance to electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stable and reliable device operation. The cable is particularly recommended where precision and minimizing interference are crucial.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction designed for long-term operation. Made of stranded copper conductors, insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), it provides good flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The conductors are numbered with white digits according to DIN VDE standard, which facilitates the identification of individual wires during installation and servicing. Additionally, a dense braid of copper wires effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference (EMC), and an insulating foil minimizes the outer diameter of the cable, making it easier to route in tight spaces. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 provides protection against external factors.

The cable is resistant to oils and many chemicals – detailed information on resistance can be found in the "Technical information" table. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not contain substances that interfere with painting. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1 (test method B) confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties.

Technical parameters and application

The cable has 32 cores with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², allowing for the transmission of a large number of signals simultaneously. The rated voltage U is 500 V. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 15.1 mm. The permissible operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (after installation) and from -10°C to +80°C (during installation). The insulation resistance is min. 20 MOhm x km, and the conductor/conductor test voltage is 4000 V.
