Flexible shielded cable – reliability and signal protection

This flexible shielded cable F-CY-JZ 34G0,75 is an ideal solution for data transmission in demanding industrial conditions and control systems. Designed for reliability and minimizing interference, it performs well in both machines and advanced electronic installations. Thanks to the use of insulating foil and a dense copper braid, the cable provides high signal quality and resistance to interference.

Construction and properties

The cable is constructed of stranded copper conductors, class 5 (flexible multi-wire), insulated with special PVC (Z 7225). The conductors are black with white numbers for easy identification. From 3 conductors, a yellow-green protective conductor is also available. Twisted conductors are surrounded by insulating foil and a copper braid screen (approx. 85% coverage), providing effective protection against electromagnetic interference. The whole is covered with a durable outer PVC TM2 jacket, gray in color (RAL 7001). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 17.8 mm.

The cable is characterized by high resistance to oils, chemicals and radiation (up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg). The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. PVC is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1 standards.

Applications and operating parameters

The F-CY-JZ cable is used as a control cable in control and regulation technology and in mechanical engineering. It is also ideal as a signal cable in computer systems and electronics. It can be used in a temperature range from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -10°C to +80°C (flexible). The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the test voltage conductor/conductor is 4000 V, and conductor/screen – 2000 V. Insulation resistance is min. 20 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter during flexible operation and 5x for fixed installation. The cable is metered and available in a "cleanroom" version on request.
