Construction and properties
The JZ-500-C cable is characterized by a solid construction designed for long-term operation. Made of copper wire twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl. 5 standards, it provides good conductivity and flexibility. The core insulation is made of special PVC Z 7225, which guarantees resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. Black cores are clearly marked with white numbers according to DIN VDE 0293, which facilitates identification during installation. Additionally, the presence of a yellow-green protective core (from 3 cores upwards) increases safety. The screen in the form of a braid of copper wires (coverage approx. 85%) effectively reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable operation of devices. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of special PVC TM2 (RAL 9005), resistant to weathering and chemicals – including oils and UV radiation.
Application and technical parameters
This cable finds wide application in mechanical engineering for control, signaling and measurement in production lines and conveyor belts. It can be used in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors – however, it should not be laid directly in the ground or in water. Thanks to its properties, it is ideal for flexible connections without tensile stress. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU.
The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and a core cross-section of 1 mm². It has three cores and its outer diameter is approximately 7.5 mm. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -15°C to +80°C during installation. Resistance to radiation reaches up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad), and insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km with a maximum coupling resistance of 250 Ohm/km.
Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils and chemicals and its materials do not contain silicone or cadmium – making it safe for the environment and user health. It also has self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1).
