This black, shielded flexible cable JZ-500-C with a cross-section of 6 mm² is designed for medium mechanical loads and provides reliable connections in various environments. The copper braid construction minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), making it an ideal choice for control, signaling and measurement systems in mechanical engineering, especially in production lines and conveyor belts. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the installation needs.
Construction and properties ensuring durability
The JZ-500-C cable is characterized by a solid construction. It is made of twisted copper strands, which ensures flexibility and resistance to bending. PVC Z 7225 insulation guarantees safety and reliability, and the black cores with white numbers facilitate identification. Additionally, the cable has a screen of bleached copper wires (coverage approx. 85%), which effectively reduces electromagnetic interference. This braid should be connected to the terminals (e.g. cable glands) for optimal EMC protection. The outer jacket made of special PVC TM2 provides resistance to oils, chemicals and UV radiation. The cable complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU.
Operating parameters and scope of applications
The JZ-500-C cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -10°C to +80°C (flexible). The rated voltage is 500 V, and the test voltage core/core is 4000 V, while core/screen – 2000 V. The minimum bending radius is 10x the outer diameter of the cable during flexible operation and 5x the outer diameter during fixed installation. This cable is perfect for use in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors – however, it cannot be laid directly in the ground or in water. It is resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).
