This metered Y-CY-JB 3G2.5 cable is a versatile solution for applications in control technology, regulation, mechanical engineering, and electronics. It ensures effective transmission of signals and pulses without interference thanks to its dense shielding braid. The construction with PVC insulation guarantees high mechanical strength and resistance to damage. The cable is particularly recommended for applications requiring flexibility and resistance to medium mechanical stresses.

Construction and properties

The cable is constructed of stranded copper conductors, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5, and IEC 60228 class 5 standards. Each conductor is insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), and the conductors are color-coded for easy identification. The yellow-green protective conductor is located on the outside, which increases safety. The screen made of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) minimizes electromagnetic interference, and the outer jacket made of transparent PVC provides additional protection and facilitates identification.

The cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures – from -15°C to +80°C during flexible operation and from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation. It is also resistant to oils and many chemical compounds (detailed information in the "Technical information" table). The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting, which confirms its high quality and environmental safety. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
