This metered Y-CY-JB 4G1 cable is a versatile solution for applications in control, regulation, mechanical engineering and electronics. It ensures effective signal and pulse transmission, minimizing interference thanks to the dense shielding braid. The construction with PVC insulation guarantees high mechanical strength, and the flexibility of the cable allows its use in motion with medium stress.
Construction and properties ensuring durability
The cable consists of stranded copper cores insulated with special PVC, which ensures good flexibility and resistance to damage. The cores are color-coded for easy identification, and the yellow-green protective core (depending on the version) increases safety. The screen made of copper wires minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in precise control systems. The outer jacket made of transparent PVC protects the cable from external factors.
Additionally, the cable is characterized by resistance to oils and chemicals (detailed information in the "Technical information" table), and the materials used do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The cable has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties in accordance with VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1 standards.
Technical parameters and scope of applications
The Y-CY-JB 4G1 cable has a core cross-section of 1 mm², rated voltage of 500 V and permissible operating temperature from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C (flexible). The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 9.3 mm. Thanks to these parameters, it is ideal for:

- Installations requiring shielding against interference
- Internal and external applications (taking into account the temperature range)
- Transmission of interference-free signals thanks to the shield
Compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) guarantees safety of use. To optimize electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to have a two-sided contact of the copper braid with cable lugs (e.g. cable glands).
