This 18-core 1kV control cable, designated KU REEL, is a reliable solution for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. Construction and properties

The cable features an advanced construction that ensures optimal performance parameters. Copper cores, manufactured to class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295 and IEC 60228 standards, are insulated with XLPE. Power cores are marked with colors compliant with HD 308 S2 and VDE 0293-JB, while control cores have white insulation with printed numbers – which facilitates identification and connection. A thermoplastic compound filling and a screen made of durable fibers prevent cable twisting and increase its durability. The yellow outer jacket made of special PUR provides resistance to abrasion, industrial oils, UV radiation and ozone.

This cable is also characterized by low adhesion, which translates to ease of processing and assembly. It can operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -30°C to +80°C in flexible mode, and can withstand a temperature of up to +250°C for a short time. The minimum bending radius is 12x cable diameter for both flexible and stationary operation. The winding speed can reach up to 150m/min, which is important for dynamic applications.
