Crane control cable – reliability in demanding conditions

This black 500V crane control cable, designated LIFT-TRAGO 7G1+17x0.75, is designed to operate in the harsh conditions typical of lifting equipment. It utilizes a central hemp core for strength and safety during operation. This cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users looking for a reliable solution for controlling cranes and other lifting devices.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on stranded copper conductors (class 6 according to DIN VDE 0295) and special PVC insulation (TI2). The use of special PVC on the inner and outer jacket (according to DIN VDE 0250) guarantees high flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -15°C to +70°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +70°C (stationary). The hemp core (in the TRAGO version) provides stability and resistance to tensile stress. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor for increased safety.

It is worth noting the resistance of the materials to UV radiation and the absence of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The cable has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1), which confirms its high safety properties. The minimum bending radius is 20 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. The operating voltage is 300/500V and the test voltage is 3000V.

The LIFT-TRAGO cable is intended for use in conveyor systems, cranes and manually operated lifting equipment. Thanks to detailed quality control of materials and raw materials, the cable can be used in extreme working conditions. The rupture of the core does not damage the cable insulation – this is a key feature ensuring the continuity of the system. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
