RE-2Y(ST)YV cable is a flexible control cable designed for data transmission in control systems and digital signal transmission. The construction with foil shielding provides protection against electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in environments with a high level of interference. This cable is used in both fixed and flexible installations, indoors, outdoors, and underground – even in conditions of increased humidity.

Construction and design features

The cable consists of 20 multi-strand copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², twisted in pairs to minimize interference. Each conductor is insulated with polyethylene (PE), and the whole is wrapped with a shielding foil. Additionally, the cable has a reinforced outer sheath made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in blue color, which ensures mechanical durability and resistance to external factors. Orange PE drain wires facilitate identification and connection. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 16.1 mm.

This control cable is ideal for applications requiring reliable data transmission and resistance to interference. Thanks to the shielding, it minimizes the risk of errors in transmitted signals, which is particularly important in industrial automation, monitoring systems, or smart building installations.
