This black, three-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² is a solution for demanding installations where standard cables fail. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures reliable operation even in extreme conditions. The cable is characterized by high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and radiation resistance, making it an ideal choice for harsh industrial environments.
Construction and properties
The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable stands out with its advanced construction. Copper cores, available in tinned or silver-plated version, are twisted according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards. Insulation made of FEP-HELUFLON® provides excellent dielectric properties and chemical resistance. The outer jacket made of the same material further protects the cable against mechanical damage and environmental influences. This makes the cable completely waterproof and resistant to ozone degradation.
It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). This makes the cable perfect for applications exposed to extreme temperatures, such as furnaces, heating devices or industrial installations. Additionally, the minimum bending radius (15x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4x for stationary bending) facilitates installation even in tight spaces.
Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is primarily used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets in extreme thermal conditions. It will work in furnaces, brickworks, heating and kitchen appliances, and measuring devices. Due to its chemical resistance, it is ideal for use in the chemical industry – where contact with flames, alkalis, acids or food substances is unavoidable. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
