This black, three-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² is a solution for installations requiring reliability in harsh conditions. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures safety and long-term operation. The cable is characterized by exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and radiation.
Construction and properties
This cable stands out with its advanced construction, which guarantees its unique properties. Copper conductors, available in tinned or silver-plated version, are made of stranded wire according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards. Conductor insulation is made of FEP-HELUFLON®, providing excellent dielectric properties and chemical resistance. The strands are twisted in parallel, and the whole is surrounded by an outer jacket made of black (RAL 9005) FEP-HELUFLON®.
Thanks to the use of fluoropolymer insulation, the cable maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). This makes it ideal for use in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices or in the chemical industry. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium, which increases safety and minimizes environmental impact.
Application and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is widely used in installations and construction of control cabinet distribution systems operating in extreme thermal conditions. It is resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food products, oils and gasoline. It will also work in places exposed to radiation.
The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards. The minimum water permeability is approx. 0.18 mg/cm² over 24 hours, confirming its complete water resistance.
