Special applications multi-core cable

This black HELUFLON-FEP-6Y 3G4 cable with a voltage rating of 600V is an advanced solution for installations requiring high resistance to extreme conditions. Made with FEP-HELUFLON® fluoropolymer insulation, it ensures reliable operation over a wide temperature range, from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). This cable is particularly recommended for use in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, kitchen appliances, measuring instruments, and in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, alkalis, acids, oils, and gasoline.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction. Copper strands are twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl.5 standards. The insulation of the strands made of FEP-HELUFLON® guarantees high resistance to damage and ensures safe use. The strands are twisted in parallel and marked with colors according to DIN VDE 0293-308 – up to 0.25 mm² the strands are colored, and above 0.5 mm² – black with white numbering. A yellow-green protective strand (marked with "G" in the catalog number) is also available. The outer jacket made of FEP-HELUFLON® in black (RAL 9005) provides additional protection of the cable against external factors.

This cable stands out with a number of advantages: high insulation resistance, low dielectric losses, flame retardancy, and resistance to microorganisms and fungal growth. It is completely resistant to ozone and water (water absorption below 0.01%). The materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium, making it safe for the environment and people. The cable has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.

Technical parameters and application

The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable has a cross-section of 4 mm², an outer diameter of approximately 7.5 mm, and a rated voltage of 600V. It is intended for stationary and flexible installations – the minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter for stationary installations and 15x the cable diameter for flexible installations. Thanks to its properties, it performs perfectly in difficult industrial and laboratory conditions.
