Highly durable cable for extreme conditions – HELUFLON-FEP-6Y
This black, multi-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable with a voltage rating of 600 V is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. Made from high-quality materials, it provides reliability and safety in harsh industrial and domestic environments. The cable is characterized by exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and radiation.
Construction and properties for professionals
This cable stands out with its construction designed for durability and flexibility. Copper cores, available in tinned or silver-plated versions, are twisted according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 (class 5) standards. Insulation made of FEP-HELUFLON® guarantees excellent dielectric properties and chemical resistance. The outer jacket made of the same material provides additional protection against mechanical damage and environmental influences.
It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). This makes the cable ideally suited for use in furnaces, heating devices or in the chemical industry. Additionally, it is resistant to radiation up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad), making it indispensable in specialized installations. The minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for stationary installation and 15x for flexible bending.
Applications and benefits
The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable finds wide application in electrical installations requiring high reliability and resistance to extreme conditions. It will work perfectly:
- In the construction of switchgear cabinets: Provides safe and durable connections at the heart of the electrical installation.
- In the chemical industry: Resistance to acids, alkalis, oils and gasoline guarantees trouble-free operation in an aggressive environment.
- In heating devices: Resistance to high temperatures allows for safe use in furnaces, heaters and other heat-generating devices.
- In applications exposed to radiation: Ideal for installations in laboratories, hospitals or industrial facilities using ionizing radiation.
- Where high insulation resistance is required: Minimizes the risk of short circuits and ensures safe use.
Additional advantages include: non-flammability, resistance to microorganisms and complete water resistance – all of which translate into a long service life and minimal operating costs. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Available in a version with a yellow-green protective conductor (G) or without it (x). The core cross-section is 1 mm². The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 4.9 mm.
