FEP cable resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 5G1,5 mm² black, conductor identification acc. to DIN VDE 0293-308 24504
Highly durable multi-core cable for extreme conditions.
This 5-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is a reliable solution for installations requiring high resistance to temperature, chemicals and mechanical damage. The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 600 V and is made of high-quality materials, guaranteeing long-lasting and safe operation.
Construction and properties
The cable construction is based on copper conductors, which can be tinned or silver-plated, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards. The conductors are insulated with FEP-HELUFLON® fluoropolymer, which provides exceptional resistance to high temperatures (up to +205°C, briefly up to +230°C) and aggressive chemicals. The outer jacket made of the same material further protects the cable against mechanical damage and environmental influences.
It is worth paying attention to a few key properties:
- Wide temperature range: The cable retains its properties in the range of -100°C to +205°C, making it an ideal solution for use in extreme conditions.
- Chemical resistance: The fluoropolymer insulation is resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food, oils and gasoline – crucial in the chemical industry and laboratories.
- High insulation: Provides minimal dielectric losses and high insulation resistance (min. 2 GOhm/km), guaranteeing safe use.
- Radiation resistance: The cable is resistant to radiation up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
- No harmful substances: The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is widely used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets in places exposed to extreme temperatures – e.g. in furnaces, brickworks or heating devices. It will also be useful in the chemical industry and everywhere where high resistance to external factors is required. Thanks to compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking), you can be sure of its safety and reliability. It also meets DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards regarding fire resistance.
The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.5 mm. A version with a yellow-green protective conductor (marked "G") or without it ("x") is available.
