FEP cable resistant to high temperatures HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y 7G0,5 mm² black, core identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 24556
Multi-core cable for extreme conditions
This 7-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in demanding environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and radiation, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users looking for a reliable solution. This cable is particularly recommended for use in the chemical industry, heating devices and anywhere standard cabling fails.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of stranded copper conductors insulated with FEP-HELUFLON® fluoropolymer. The conductors are available in colors according to DIN VDE 0293-308, which facilitates identification. The outer jacket is also made of FEP-HELUFLON® providing additional protection against mechanical damage and external factors. Thanks to the materials used, the cable remains flexible over a wide temperature range – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). Additionally, it is resistant to radiation, microorganisms and fungal growth.
The use of FEP insulation provides a number of benefits:
- High chemical resistance: the cable is resistant to oils, gasoline, acids and alkalis.
- Low water permeability: minimizes the risk of corrosion and failure.
- Non-flammability: increases installation safety.
- Wide temperature range: enables operation in extreme conditions.
Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets in extreme thermal conditions – furnaces, brickworks, heating and kitchen appliances. It will also work in the chemical industry due to its resistance to aggressive substances. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and standards DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 regarding conductors and DIN VDE 0293-308 for conductor colors. The cable also has a certificate confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1).
The cable has the following parameters: number of cores – 7, conductor cross-section – 0.5 mm², rated voltage – 600 V, outer diameter (approximate) – 4.8 mm and operating temperature range from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). The insulation material of the conductor and jacket is FEP-HELUFLON®.
The cable is available in a version with a yellow-green protective conductor (marking G) or without it (marking x). The choice of the appropriate version depends on the specific requirements of the installation.
