This 7-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is a reliable solution for applications requiring high resistance to temperature, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. The cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C), making it an ideal choice for installations in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices and in the chemical industry. The rated voltage of 600 V ensures safety and reliability in demanding applications.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Copper conductors, available in tinned, silver-plated or untinned versions, are made of twisted strand class 5, providing them with flexibility and resistance to bending. Insulation made of FEP-HELUFLON® fluoropolymer provides excellent dielectric properties and chemical resistance. The outer jacket made of the same material further protects the cable against mechanical damage and external factors.

It is worth paying attention to a number of important properties of this cable:

• Exceptional thermal resistance: Enables operation at extreme temperatures, both low and high.
• Chemical resistance: Ideal for use in chemically aggressive environments, such as the chemical industry.
• Low flammability: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, meeting the standards DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
• Radiation resistance: The cable retains its properties even under the influence of radiation up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
• Waterproof: Completely waterproof, with minimal water permeability (approx. 0.18 mg/cm² in 24 hours).
• No harmful substances: Materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and installation

The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable finds wide application in industrial installations, construction of switchgear cabinets and wherever high reliability and resistance to difficult working conditions are required. The minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter for stationary installation and 15x the cable diameter for flexible installation, making it easy to install even in tight spaces. An available option with a yellow-green protective conductor (marked "G") increases safety. The conductor cross-section is 1.5 mm², and its approximate outer diameter is 7.2 mm.
