Highly durable cable for extreme conditions – HELUFLON-FEP-6Y
This 7-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is a reliable solution for installations requiring high resistance to temperature, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. The cable is designed for industrial applications where standard cabling fails. Its construction based on FEP (fluoropolymer) insulation ensures long-lasting and safe operation in extreme conditions.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using copper strands which can be silver-plated or tinned, providing flexibility and reliability of connections. The cores are insulated with FEP-HELUFLON® material, guaranteeing resistance to high temperatures (up to +205°C, briefly +230°C) and aggressive chemicals. The outer jacket made of the same material further protects the cable against mechanical damage and external factors. Black color (RAL 9005) facilitates identification in the installation.
It is worth noting the wide range of permissible operating temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C – which makes it an ideal choice for applications in low and high temperatures. Additionally, the cable is radiation resistant, which increases its durability in specific industrial environments. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km, ensuring a high level of safety.
Applications and benefits
The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is primarily used in:
- Industrial installations: furnaces, brickworks, heating devices, cookers, measuring instruments.
- Chemical industry: environments exposed to flames, alkalis, acids, food, oils and gasoline.
- Distribution boards: where high resistance to temperature and chemicals is required.
- Applications requiring flexibility: thanks to the multi-wire core construction (class 5).
Why choose this cable?
- Exceptional thermal resistance: Operation in a temperature range from -100°C to +205°C (briefly +230°C).
- Chemical resistance: Safe use in aggressive chemical environments.
- High quality insulation: FEP-HELUFLON® material provides reliable protection against short circuits and damage.
- Durability: Resistance to radiation and other external factors guarantees long cable life.
- Safety: Compliant with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
- Flexibility: Multi-wire core construction makes installation and routing of cables in tight spaces easier.
- Minimal water permeability: approx. 0.18 mg/cm² over 24 hours - ideal for humid environments.
The cable is available with a yellow-green protective core (marked "G") or without it (marked "x"). The outer diameter of the cable is 6 mm with a core cross-section of 1 mm².
