This 7-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and radiation, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users who need reliable power in harsh conditions. The cable has an outer jacket made of FEP-HELUFLON®, providing additional protection and durability.

Construction and properties

The cable was designed with extreme operating conditions in mind. Its construction is based on twisted copper cores insulated with high-quality FEP-HELUFLON® material. The cores are twisted in parallel, and the whole is surrounded by a durable jacket made of the same material in black (RAL 9005). This construction guarantees flexibility, resistance to mechanical damage and long-term reliability.

• Wide temperature range: The cable maintains its properties in the range of -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). This is crucial in industrial applications where the temperature may be variable or very high.
• Chemical resistance: The FEP-HELUFLON® material is resistant to most chemicals, including alkalis, acids, oils and gasoline. This makes the cable perfect for the chemical industry and laboratories.
• High insulation: The cable is characterized by high insulation resistance (min. 2 GOhm/km), which ensures safe use and minimizes energy losses.
• Radiation resistance: Resistant to radiation up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad), making it suitable for use in environments exposed to radiation.
• Low water permeability: Minimal water permeability (approx. 0.18 mg/cm² in 24 hours) provides protection against moisture and corrosion.

The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 for self-extinguishing and flame retardancy (equivalent to DIN VDE 0472 part 804 test method B).
