• This 18-core HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is a solution for installations requiring reliability in harsh conditions. Made of twisted copper cores insulated with FEP fluoropolymer, it provides exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and radiation. The cable is designed to operate at voltages up to 600V and is characterized by high flexibility, making installation easier even in tight spaces.

Construction and properties

The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable stands out with its advanced construction, ensuring long-lasting and safe operation. Copper cores, available in tinned or silver-plated versions, guarantee good electrical conductivity. FEP-HELUFLON® insulation provides resistance to high temperatures (up to +205°C, briefly +230°C) and aggressive chemicals. The outer jacket made of the same material further protects the cable from mechanical damage and environmental influences.

It is worth noting a number of important properties:

• Wide operating temperature range: from -100°C to +205°C (briefly up to +230°C), allowing use in extreme conditions.
• Chemical resistance: the cable is resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food products, oils and gasoline – ideal for the chemical industry and laboratories.
• High insulation: minimizes dielectric losses and ensures safe use.
• Radiation resistance: up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad), making it suitable for applications in industries exposed to radiation.
• Low water permeability: approx. 0.18 mg/cm² in 24 hours – important in humid environments.
• No harmful substances: materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and compliance with standards

The HELUFLON-FEP-6Y cable is widely used in installations and construction of switchboard cabinets, especially where extreme temperature conditions prevail – e.g. in furnaces, brickworks or heating devices. It will also be useful in the food and pharmaceutical industries due to its chemical resistance and lack of harmful substances. Additionally, it meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The outer diameter of the cable is 9.5 mm and the cross-section of a single core is 1 mm².
