Flexible cable for industrial and control applications

This gray JZ-600 5G2.5 AWG14 cable, compliant with UL/CSA standards, is a versatile solution for transmitting power and control signals in demanding conditions. Designed for flexibility and durability, it performs perfectly in industrial applications where it is exposed to bending, twisting and contact with various chemicals. This cable is particularly recommended for use in machine tools, conveyors, production lines and in agriculture.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on five copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm². These conductors are made in flexible stranded technology (class 5), which ensures their high resistance to mechanical fatigue during frequent bending. The conductor insulation is made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the outer jacket is also made of PVC, which guarantees protection against moisture, oils and other external factors. Numbered conductors facilitate the identification of individual wires during installation and maintenance. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor for increased safety.

The JZ-600 cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0276 part 627, DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 and UL Std.758 Style 21179. It is resistant to UV radiation (in the case of a black outer jacket) and to the action of many oils and chemicals. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The cable is also self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, which increases safety in the event of a short circuit or fire – it meets the standards DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1-2 and UL VW-1, CSA FT1.

Operating parameters and temperature range

This cable can be operated in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -5°C to +80°C during installation or in flexible arrangement. The rated voltage is 1000 V (VDE U0/U 600/1000 V and UL/CSA 1000 V). The minimum bending radius is 7.5x the cable diameter for flexible arrangement and 4x the cable diameter for stationary arrangement. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12.4 mm.
