Flexible shielded cable for frequency inverters

This high-quality flexible cable, designed for use in frequency inverters, features double shielding and a special construction ensuring minimal power loss. Construction and properties

The TF-EMV-UV-2XSLCYK-J 4G10 cable is characterized by an advanced construction that guarantees reliable operation and long life. It is made of stranded copper conductors, surrounded by cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. The conductors are twisted in parallel and protected by double shielding – aluminum and braided copper wires – which provides excellent protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The copper braid is covered in approx. 85%. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), resistant to UV radiation and weathering.

A key feature of the cable is its flexibility, allowing easy installation even in tight spaces. Thanks to its low mutual capacitance and coupling resistance, the cable minimizes energy losses and ensures high electromagnetic compatibility. It is also resistant to radiation, allowing it to be used in harsh industrial conditions. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250 and EN 55011 standards regarding electromagnetic compatibility.

Applications and user parameters

This cable is perfect as a connecting cable for motors to frequency inverters, both in stationary and flexible installations. It can be used in dry, damp and outdoor environments. Its UV resistance allows installation outdoors without fear of material degradation. The cable is metered for easy dispensing and installation.

The rated voltage of the cable is 1000 V, and the conductor cross-section is 10 mm². The outer diameter of the cable is 17.7 mm. This cable can operate in a temperature range from -5°C to +90°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +90°C (stationary). The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is: up to 12 mm – 10x cable diameter, above 12-20 mm – 15x cable diameter and above 20 mm – 20x cable diameter. For stationary operation, the minimum bending radius is: up to 12 mm – 5x cable diameter, above 12-20 mm – 7.5x cable diameter and above 20 mm – 10x cable diameter. The cable is also resistant to radiation up to 80x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).

Remember to properly connect the shield on both sides of the cable to ensure optimal protection against EMC interference!
