Highly flexible shielded cable for industrial applications
This double-shielded power cable, designed for use with frequency inverters, is characterized by its high flexibility and resistance to electromagnetic interference. The cable's construction, based on XLPE insulation and special shielding, minimizes power losses and ensures stable signal transmission. It is an ideal solution for demanding applications in industry where reliability and electromagnetic compatibility are key.
This cable is particularly recommended for powering motors in drives with frequency inverters, but it will also work well in other industrial applications such as technological lines, machines, installations in public utility facilities or control and measurement systems. The possibility of laying the cable both in dry and humid rooms, as well as outdoors, increases its versatility.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-term and trouble-free operation. It is made of multi-wire copper conductors class 5 (according to PN-EN 60228), which guarantees good flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The insulation of the conductors made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) provides high resistance to temperature and voltage. The double shield - a braid of aluminum tape and a braid of copper wires - effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference, minimizing the risk of damage to sensitive equipment. The outer jacket made of UV-resistant PVC provides protection against atmospheric and mechanical factors.
Additionally:
- The conductors are twisted in parallel for better internal organization of the cable.
- The cable contains a green-yellow protective conductor to ensure safe use.
- Thanks to the use of a special PVC mixture, the cable remains flexible even at low temperatures.
- The cable meets the requirements of standards regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) according to EN 55011 and DIN VDE 0875 part 11.
- The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
User parameters and scope of application
This cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 1000 V and an ambient temperature of -40°C to +90°C (stationary installation) or from -5°C to +90°C (flexible installation). The rated conductor cross-section is 185 mm², and the approximate outer diameter is 58.7 mm. The minimum bending radius of the cable is 10x diameter for diameters up to 12 mm, 15x diameter for diameters from 12 to 20 mm and 20x diameter for diameters above 20 mm during flexible installation and 5x, 7.5x and 10x diameter during stationary installation, respectively. The cable is metered for easy installation and adaptation to specific needs.
